Purple Treasure handbags was inspired by the loss of teenager, Deazjnae Banks, who was taken from her school while attending Cosmetology School in San Diego, California, by a boyfriend she trusted who in return ended her life.

 

Purple Treasure handbags was to create a process for disseminating the message of domestic violence to a broader audience with handbags. By informing the individual about the danger of domestic violence by conveys a true story of a victim of domestic violence story on the tag of the handbag. 

 

Since the victims cannot share there story, the tag insert speaks on there behalf.  The buyer of the handbag then shares the tag insert story with others, with the goal that these stories may resonate with someone struggling with a decision to leave an abuser. 

 

A portion of the sales proceeds from the purple treasure reinvested in supporting PTDVF’s annual “Remember My Name” event.
